Amarillo, Texas, resident Tim Schmidt has spent more than 25 years in the hospital administration industry. He has worked in the position of CEO for several hospitals and medical facilities including the Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Springs, Texas. In the latter position, he lowered the employee turnover rate from 57 percent to less than 20 percent in just two years while also bringing in nine physicians to the Scenic Mountain community. He guided a number of rural facilities. Tim Schmidt also spent five years as CEO of the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois. His accomplishments in this role included bringing in more than 20 qualified physicians and improving earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization by over 80 percent.

Tim Schmidt attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, as a student of finance and member of the Corps of Cadets. After earning his bachelor of business administration, he moved on to San Antonio�s Trinity University, graduating with a master�s degree in health-care administration. When he is not working, he spends time contributing to a variety of charitable organizations, including the Amarillo Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity.
